FREDERICK BROTHERTON MEYER (1847–1929) F. B. Meyer was one of Britain’s great preachers and Bible scholars. The English pastor was called “Meddling Meyers” by critics both within and outside the Church for his application of Scripture to everyday life, some of which intersected with politics. Like the English and American Puritans, Meyer did not consider sin against God in the nation untouchable. As a result, F. B. Meyers became a “prophetic” voice in Great Britain in his day. O that God will raise such preachers today!

We preach Christ crucified (1 Cor. 1:23).
